Retained as conservation architects by the OPW to advise on two major developments at the National Museum, we advised a wide consultative process with interested parties, such as the Georgian Society, the Heritage Council, An Taisce, Dublin Civic Trust, and Dublin City Council, in the context of a Conservation Plan structure. In parallel, the design development for the main block allowed an emphatically contemporary design to be achieved while respecting the volumetric qualities and the detail of the historic fabric.
