Bantry House

Bantry, Co.Cork

We have had a long-standing involvement at Bantry House commencing in the early 1990s. An early project was the restoration of the mid C19 gardens under the Great Gardens of Ireland Scheme. The East and West Wings were restored and adapted as Hidden Ireland type bed and breakfast accommodation. Repairs to roofs and upgrading of services were carried out on a phased basis.
In 2007 an outline conservation plan was funded by The Heritage Council, addressing the condition of the house and contents and considering future funding and management issues. Further repairs to roofs and the reconstruction of the west loggia are currently being undertaken.
