Retained as conservation architects for the refurbishment of this important early Georgian house. The works comprised the provision of new and refurbished accommodation for the convent as well as the restoration of several of the state rooms. Unstable plaster ceilings were consolidated and the restoration of the rare papier mache ceiling decoration in the Blue Drawing Room was aided by a Europa Nostra grant. The original blue flock wallpaper in the same room was recreated by special order.
Control of the installation of new and renewed services was an important aspect of this project.
